Coming to you from Columbus

So my doctor's appointment that I thought was next week is tomorrow. Yikes. And I have another one on monday so I'm missing 2 classes right at midterms and had to adjust the test. And since the appointment is SO early in the AM, I came up to stay at the hotel casino.

So at the casino I was at the last 10 bucks I was willing to lose, sat down at some Ancient Egyptian themed machine, accidentally hit the max bet and won back all my money. Took that and scurried back to the hotel room


Luckily it was a breezy drive up here, I was listening to Gaiman's Trigger Warnings and that was the best part of my day. I AM SO over this nursing class. I have never had one like this. They WILL NOT pick up the bone boxes and study. They just finish the new material and leave. Today I warned them we have only 6-7 labs left three of which are EXAMS. Might you want to prep for them. Nope, they still left. Next week, I'm giving a quiz to whoever is left with 40 minutes to go, open notes, open book, fuck it I'll tell them the answers. So you wanna leave lab early?

First thought - call the doctor and see if we can move the appointment from Monday to Wed or Thursday so I don't have to drive back to Columbus. Short answer no. Sigh.



Good thing - I won at the casino AND we got a donation so I can get new lab equipment
