I was right I'm not ready

I feel like I did when I got Iktomi back in 97. Anxious, regretful etc as much as I wanted a cat. I didn't feel that with Kanda. I think because he was a lazy boring dude. That was perfect for me. Malcolm is all over the place and especially up on things. I'm so busy that training him might be hard and feels daunting

But my biggest worry right now is in 15 hours he never used the litter box but i didn't see if he went anywhere, no where visible at any rate but that doesn't mean he didn't b ehind the spare bed in the computer room or behind the couch/tv etc. Keep in mind years ago Soul pissed everywhere. I m afraid that will make Malcolm think he can go anywhere or try to mark his territory (because even I can smell it. He went out today and when I got back I brought in mulch. Yes I know it's no good for him but he's been sleeping/using it as litter so I thought if he could smell that... so far nothing.

So send him some good thoughts. If he won't use the litter box he can't stay obviously. He's so sweet. he's sitting on me right now. He talks too much. He has opinions and you will hear them. He didn't mess with me last night (I don't let them sleep with me because of my bad sleep issues) He did knock over the garbage. I want him to work out but it looks very iffy because we have seen no litter activity. So I'm feeling very depressed. I've never had a cat not know what litter was. Soul knew, he just wouldn't do it when he started getting feral.

I finished putting in my mid terms. I have four 100% scores on the mid term but so many did not pass but that's not as bad another coworker's student. They had to gather ten different leaves and identify them (I remember doing this when I was getting my undergraduate degree. This student pulled 10 leaves off one tree and then went thru the process of keying them out...as 10 different plants. HOW?
