I feel like I might be losing my mind

When I came back in August I couldn't find my checkbook and camera. I double checked my suit case. Didn't see it. After cleaning up the bedroom weeks later, I checked it again, nothing. Cleaned the computer room/living room and looked again in the suitcase, nothing. So that's three checks over about 2 months. I took the suitcase out today to pack to leave tomorrow and I feel a clunk. I'm like you are KIDDING me. Sure enough in the hidden pocket are both the checkbook and camera. I have no idea HOW I could have missed it four times (okay the first one i can see but three more times after?) I am seriously disturbed by this.

I took the morning off and went to the coffee shop to decompress even if i know it'll make things worse later because I have shit to do. I did manage to get most of it done (not like I was going to clean this place anyhow). Hopefully I haven't forgotten anything because I'll be gone for weeks. We're going to start later than usual in January.
