surgery day

I am healing up. It's been a day. I got called at 9ish and asked can you come in early like 10-1030. Um I'm an hour away? please. So I get up and do two stupid things, put in my contacts and do my hair. You know hair that will be under the paper hat? And you can't have in contacts. Since this was local that didn't matter.

ANNNND that tree I told the landlord about as a fall risk fell, well a big branch and took out three cars, not mine but i couldn't stay and help them either. And now it's snowing. IN fact 'snow devils' whirled around the highways half way there. But i get there in time.

The shot to numb the hand hurt like hell. It also had a vasoconstrictor in it so the hand is white and then decides to bleed everywhere. I got that stopped. the surgery took less time than prepping me for it. It looks to be exactly what we thought it was. A ganglion cyst.

Doc looks at me, knowing I'm a doctor and says you can take out your own stitches if you want. You don't need to come back. Let's see if I can find my suture scissors or just buy another pair...

I went to applebee's for my free dessert. It was good but not worth 7$ (normally)

I picked up the narcotics they wrote for me. Takes my pharamcy forever every time so I waited in the library with Louie the therapy dog.

This is some good shit anesthesia. It just started wearing off nearly 12 hours in but now it's itchy AF and i put my hand down on the couch without thinking and pulled my stitches so now I took the narcotics and it's sleepy time.
