Day of the Doctors
Apr. 13th, 2022 09:57 pmbut first, Happy Birthday to
evil_little_dog!
So I made a follow up call to endocrinologist about the advancing weakness and they said your phone wasn't working. Truth but you have my cell too Why not call that? It IS my primary number. Well we need to run tests. We sent a pill to your pharmacy to test for cushing's. You mean dexamethasone I ask. Uh...yes. You DID THAT 5 weeks ago. They didn't even bother to look at my records. I'm so upset since they're usually good. Let's see if they call me back.
Went to the OB/GYN. In talking to her about trying to get back out hiking, she goes want a script for doxycycline so you don't have to go to urgent care when the ticks get you. Yes. please. She also wrote for coliguard for me so I don't have to deal with finding time for a colonoscopy which I DO need. Unfortunately she confirmed a couple issues I've been worried about ( medical tmi )
The sink plug got stuck down. DId a youtube of 5 ways to fix it. Managed to dent it and nearly take off a finger with a box cutter. Asked the parents. their way fixed it in 30 seconds. ...
That Wednesday Reading Meme
What I Just Finished Reading:
Eye Spy by Mercedes Lackey. This is a story about nothing. Abi has yet to fail at anything. Bored bored bored.
Woof by Spencer Quinn eh, if you want a middle grade mystery written from the point of view of a dog on coke, this is it. Don't need more of this series.
Sour Puss by Rita Mae Brown. Absolute crap
The Cabinets of Barnaby Mayne by Elsa Hart A mystery set in 1703 I loved this. Hoping for more of this new series.
What I am Currently Reading:
Mister Impossible by Maggie Stiefvater I'm halfway thru and am disappointed
A Matter of Hive and Death by Nancy CoCo a cozy mystery I won from GR. So far it's not bad.
Tiger Honor by Yoon Ha Lee got this from Netgalley for review. I didn't much like the first book (didn't realize this was book 2 when I requested it). Let me ask you, do you find it at ALL credible that they took a 13 year old recruit into the Space Force and puts him on a ship into trouble without one minute of training
What I Plan to Read Next:
A Wedding to Die For by Leann Sweeney because I need a book with a party and I have it and The Burial Hour by Jeffery Deaver one of my library CD throwaway harvests
