I didn't get to vote

Thankfully it was just the primary or I might have tempted the hell and high water today. I had to work today (and nursing isn't meeting again Thursday so the students begged me to move my class up to nursing's spot but I have non-nurses in this class and then I finished all the material so I'm like fine, review and if you don't want to come don't).

I had to set up the practical for tomorrow and that takes forever so by the time i'm ready to leave and go vote a) tornado warnings b) have to go via dirt roads or the long way on the highway to the new voting place c) major tractor trailer spill on the long way so it's out d) storming hard with the tornado siren getting into the act so screw the dirt roads. I went home.

But this whole SCOTUS thing is really destroying me mentally. I live in a state that has already made abortions nearly impossible and one GOP woman (of all things) yesterday said rape was just an opportunity to be a mother. Do these people have souls? My state also tried to make it a law that ectopic pregnancies be placed in the uterus NO termination allowed. Dudes, that's fucking SF. We can't do that (we didn't know that, Jesus Christ) How have we gotten to the point where women no longer matter at all, like this was 1822. I have to keep off social media because I literally feel the anxiety shredding my brain. I didn't sleep the whole night.

I am so tired of fighting people who want laws off their body, who pitched fits about a fucking mask on their face but feel content to force women to their will.
