I was talking to evil little dog
Oct. 8th, 2022 10:59 pmAnd something settled in my brain, it would be dangerous for me to do the ghost tour in Cincinnati because I'll be walking all over the renn fest earlier in the day. She concurred. I spent this evening trying to find other things to do and the riverboat cruises don't line up. I did find Krohn's conversatory. I would love that but the website is so poor I can't tell if it's open on sunday.
Also I wanted to see the opera house and the ghost tour inside there is only one day of the month (not my day) and is sold out. Fine, expected that but I love music so what's going on....NOTHING. OMG the entire month of October and the only thing going on is happening tonight?!?
Then talking to Mom tonight, another epiphany hits. WHY am I searching all over for hotels when I know my main motivator for staying was to do a ghost tour I'm no longer doing and hitting Jungle Jim's to shop for the holidays (I like giving food gifts)? Why not just stay at the same hotel I stay in for the steampunk con because it's like 1 mile from JJ's?!? My brain is slow.
My brother got a kitten today. It is cute.
As for me, I came home from gym/coffee/grocery I did dishes, started soup and blinked and somehow it was 530 at night and nothing had been done. I mean NOTHING. Damn. Did I fall through a rip in time?
I was trying out my new compression socks and realized a) had them on the wrong side b) now have a mirror image of the tibia/fibula embedded in my skin because they're skeleton socks. I'm a little worried this might not be good because I knew I had to get the large/XL but they come all the way to the knee (as compression socks do) but they hurt a bit around my bad leg. I hope the compression is okay for my stent. Also I'm thrilled there are fun printed compression socks now but damn they're still hard as hell to get on. that doesn't change.
Speaking of cats, I had a dream all about them last night. I was outside my grandmother's house, off the kitchen with Dad. I found the fattest fluffiest grey and white Persian kitten and started calling for my brother who loves them. He and his wife came flying in and took the kitty.
Dad told me to look for where it came from and I started doing that but suddenly I was alongside my parent's garage looking and found another kitten white with patches of tabby (I'm not even sure what that coloring is called). I was like where did you come from and then I see an orange tabby cat between the rose and boxwood with her mom. Momma cat was missing an eye, maybe both from infection. As I was calling for my brother to come help me with her and all the kittens I notice one of the kittens is weird looking and it's actually a beagle pup.
I was like what the hell is happening and who is abandoning these animals here (My parents live rurally and up a big hill) out of nowhere there's an older woman, obviously wealthy with someone with her I couldn't see clearly. She had a dog on a leash that she let loose. She had a cat on a leash too and he was a beautiful black and white coat that looked like houndstooth. I was pondering that when the lady unzipped him and took him out of the pleather houndstooth body suit and gave me the cat.
I asked why she was doing this and she said because I was kind and she knew I'd take care of them.
