I feel blindsided by the end of November and nano and my semester. I mean WOW

I am still vaguely ill. No pus, no fever, just a mild sore throat and a tickle in the chest probably some annoying virus like RSV. Also annoying today's faculty meeting. They're lucky it was on Zoom because the temptation to slap a head was high.

I watched the new Criminal Minds and I will say they did get the characters back in a believable way and what will be an obvious season long plot thread was interesting enough (also now wondering was the first bite free and the rest on Paramount +) That said and without spoilers, I'm sorry but Rossi is WAY too old. Most law enforcement will force you to retire around age 60. Joe is 75 years old and he looks like it. I could maybe buy him as the head of the agency in an office but as a field agent...

What I Just Finished Reading:

The Witcher Omnibus by Paul Tobin some graphic novel version stories. It was actually pretty good. Would have helped if I knew the show or the books but still enjoyable. the art was nice (the cover art is awful)

Spy × Family, Vol. 1 by Tatsuya Endo I know the hype about this one and I was not blown away. It was entertaining but if the library didn't happen I probably wouldn't have bothered with the next one.

What I am Currently Reading:

Literally Murder by Ali Brandon. This was in the pack of books Alexcat sent me. So far so good with this mystery

Cells at Work!, Vol. 1 by Akane Shimizu. I want to say it was Suzume who said I needed this one. It's fun. So much fun so far I want to get a few pages and use them as a discuss point for students next semester.

Blood Debts by Terry J. Benton-Walker, a paranormal set in New Orleans. It's good so far, character of color (including a queer lead)

What I Plan to Read Next: I still have a boatload of graphic novels from the library. Those!

Last Snip - Howell rolled back to his feet, seeming to sense Dan’s discomfort. He opened his closet. “You and I are fairly close in height though you’re a little more narrow. Still, you can probably fit in my jeans. Better than sitting there in a towel.”

“Thanks.” Pressure rolled off him. He had never been this shy about his body but those scars changed everything.

Howell pulled out a plain pair and jeans and tossed them to Dan as someone knocked on the door. Howell’s brow beetled. “I don’t get visitors.”

“Probably your roomie’s pot dealer.”

“No doubt.” Howell opened the door to Al and Grace. He chuckled even as Dan groaned.

“This was not what I was expecting.” Grace snickered.

“Any reason you’re just hanging out mostly naked?” Al asked.

“I forgot my keys inside the room and the door is like a hotel one. Why are you two here?”

“Taking in the view,” Al replied.

“No.”

“What? It’s a nice view,” Al said.

“I could use him as a model.”

“Shouldn’t he be completely naked for that?”

Grace’s curls bounced as she shook her head. “We’ll ease into that”

“No, we won’t,” Dan said. “Go back out. I want to put these on.” He brandished the jeans.

“No rush there, Danilo.” Al grinned and he narrowed his eyes at her. “What? You are literally showing no more skin than you do when we go swimming. Your trunks might even be shorter than that towel.”

“Of course, that towel could slip at any time,” Grace said.

“Why are you making this hard?” He let his head drop back.
