My beloved solar panel christmas lights (the old set because I didn't even find the new one) has died along 41/2 feet of it's 5 feet. Sigh. So most of my decorations were rat eaten. this died. I don't know if I have it in me to go out there for the other set of lights. I do have some green swag without rat shit in it so maybe that'll go up. Maybe not because I have to get my winter clothes out before I leave and that'll take a good hunk of the day.

I have books in the storage unit. Wonders if the plastic bins held there or have I lost dozens of books too. I don't have time or energy to go look and it's making me sad.

I was awoken by one of my student loans saying I hadn't paid them. I always do but they were right i hadn't. Guess what this was the same loan last month that suddenly after 15 years wouldn't let me in because my Social Security number is wrong. guess what? Yeah I'll have to call these fuck heads again. Navient wants me to get personal loans with them. What a joke.

There was good news. When I took my second donation to the Y for the elderly I couldn't even get near the tree there were that many donations. I was so happy to see it (but there were still plenty of names on the tree. I wonder if the Y itself will buy those at the end. Imagine being that elderly person hoping someone will remember them on the holiday but it doesn't happen)

I don't know why it takes me 3-4 hours every time I go to Jackson any more. nothing is getting done. I did enjoy my hour in the coffee shop though. Finished a story for [personal profile] spikesgirl58's 6 word challenge.

Title: Fragile Things

Summary: They don’t know everything that happened in the Vermont woods but what they know for certain is it broke Bright.

Notes: written for [personal profile] spikesgirl58’s 6 words challenge (the six words were Writer, Album Underline, Close, Approach, & Confusion) and the [community profile] allbingo prompt fossils. This can be taken as a prequel to A Confession of Pain where it was pointed out maybe we needed to see the events right after that day in Vermont. This is a stand alone but if you want to read the WIP too you can find it here.

“There are so many fragile things, after all. People break so easily, and so do dreams and hearts.” ― Neil Gaiman, Fragile Things: Short Fictions and Wonders

Tea Day 16

Adagio - Almond Cardamon cake so it was rooibos, cocoa nibs, cinnamon cardamon pods and toasted almonds and....it tasted like rooibos and chocolate. how that many cardamon pods added no flavor I have no idea. It wasn't my favorite.

Yawn Brew - Eggnog. Okay I think I get it now. They are trying to do all Holiday names. STOP. Okay just stop. Tell me the proper names so I can come find a blend I like in April okay? This is just dumb and again setting up expectations that aren't met.

SOOO Eggnog is black tea, cinnamon, ginger, cloves...in other words it's freaking masala chai. It was very good but it wasn't frakking eggnog.
