While mom was off getting her antibiotics, I fell back asleep. and had a weird nightmare. I came back to my apartment and everyone was in it, including my landlords. My coffee table and end table were missing and they said 'we're remodeling' apparently without telling or asking me. I'm there apologizing for how messed up my place is and hoping they're not going to evict me because of the mess. They don't care about that and start chivvying me around (I've forgotten a chunk of this) to my surprise my one story garden apartment is now a more traditional four story apartment situation but the nightmare came in as they showed me the bathroom which was a warren of modern white toilets and showers (all I could say was no tub? how disappointing) and it was all communal and other neighbors kept wandering in and I'm like I can't pee like this.
So I did escape. I got to go to TJ Maxx, Big Lots and JoAnn's Fabrics. I got everything I was after, a few things for a friend, a storage container for mom, a cheap wreath that will work outside and heart patches for my purse. I have this Lucky brand red courdaroy purse covered in fabric hearts that strangers stop to tell me how pretty it is (including men) but the back fabric the ribs of the courdoroy has worn off so I wanted to get hearts to cover it.
What I Just Finished Reading:
The last book of the year is Six Cats a Slayin' by Miranda James. This series is readable but Charlie is sort of a judgemental dude but there aren't many mississippi setting books so...
What I am Currently Reading:
A Christmas Carol by Dickens (and OMG the movies of this are the best adaptations I've ever seen of a book) and A Trace of Poison
