We're hotter than North Carolina AND Vegas

It was in the high 80s today. OMG WHY? No. Just no. It stormed around 6 pm and cooled off some but this is nuts. Tomorrow will be 30 degrees colder. So weird.

Today was not exciting so I'll give you March's reads. As always talk books with me. But before that in the week since I posted those pictures of Willow from The Owl House (and no one could tell the difference in the pictures) I've been seeing A LOT of fan art where she's drawn not as she in in the show but rather quite a bit heavier (okay a LOT heavier) so maybe all this fatphobia accusations are coming from what the fans feel she SHOULD be vs what she is. Fandoms can be so weird and occasionally annoying. That said I really am on the outside of this fandom, just writing my fic and being happy with that (another odd thing, while I get kudos, not a single comment in over a dozen stories)

What I Just Finished Reading:


Critical Role Vox Machina Origins, vol 2. Now I've met Percy. I think he's going to be 'my character' I enjoyed this one more

Incognegro by Mat Johnson, a graphic novel mystery set in Mississippi in the 20s (30s?) drawing from real life cases of light skinned black men going 'incognegro' in the deep south to reveal the racist men involved in lynching so yeah this is NOT a light read by any means

Nettle & Bone by T Kingfisher, loved this! I forget who told me to read t his one but it was so good

What I am Currently Reading:

There Comes a Darkness by Katy Rose Pool but ever so slowly. I'm never finishing this thing


Little Eve by Catriona Ward gothic horror (historical) I'm nearly finished with it but I keep getting distracted

Night Witches, a graphic novel by Garth Ennis



What I Plan to Read Next: I have two more graphic novels from the library so those.
