A troubled day
Apr. 3rd, 2023 10:24 pmIn the middle of the night all the head cold stuff moved into my chest and I started coughing. Luckily I had the cough meds from the last time I had this in Jan that I didn't need then. The weird thing is I wanted decongestants instead of what I had (decongestant/pain reliever/cough suppressant) and I swear the moment that hit my grocery cart everything cleared up. I'm no longer snotty nor really coughing. I'm not well mind you but it seems to have turned a corner.
the real trouble came from multiple stupid shit moments at work. For instance, not announcing the Welsh Fellow presentation until today. It's TOMORROW. Oh thanks. And then something that hit my mental health bad but I'm putting that in another post and locking it down.
I went to the library to get my winnings from the tic tac toe reading challenge, the same blanket and mug from the last contest I won. Ah well. I'll keep the mug and Mom had a good idea. I'll donate the blanket to the veterans. I don't need two of them. Also somehow six British mysteries jumped in a bag and onto my arm from the book sale. Not sure how that happened.
I went for a cup of coffee and they had easter eggs and when I asked about them, they gave me one. In them are coupons for local businesses. What a nice idea! I got a free sequin pillow if I buy something from the local quilting place. You know what? I always go in there once a year on the chocolate walk and then forget about it. I am going back there. I'm not saying I'm getting anything but I am going to look at it.
The good news for the day came before I left. Friday I noticed guys across the street working on the utility poles with no markings on their truck. Well today they were outside my bedroom windows working in the creek. WTF? So I ask them what are they doing and it's Spectrum. They're putting in Fiber Optic Cable. OMG I can get high speed!!! But this takes me to the bad thing
Frontier's phone is out again. I tried to chat them tonight. 1 hour of waiting for someone to come to the chat, no one ever did. I can't wait to switch them out for Spectrum. Yes I know Spectrum has a dodgy rep but what internet/cable company doesn't?
Ah for music monday, have another fan video for The Owl house with a very interesting song I've never heard of before.
Speaking of fan vids and songs I've never heard before, here's a Vox Machina one with a female cover of Bad to the Bone I've not heard before.
