The phone just rang at 11 and it rang at the same time as the phone on my true crime show. Took a second to realize it was my parents. Everything flies as I jump up, wondering who's dead. Here's mom.

Mom (bright and cheery) do you know anything about Anne Perry's tallaride show.

Me (brow furrowed) do you mean Anne Rice's Talamasca?

Mom - that's it. It was cool. You'd like it. Go record it. By the way, what's the whole story about this.

Me - explaining in detail all about the Talamasca (my favorite thing Anne Rice ever created and inspiring almost every demon hunting group I've ever written

Also me - Mom why are you calling so late to ask this?

Mom - didn't want you to miss it.

Dad (in the background) she thought we were dead, didn't she?

Me - yes dad.

I was going to title this since I couldn't buy two pizzas I had to make a choice. And I did on Saturday, picking caramelized onion/feta/mushroom. But I really wanted to try the grape/rosemary/gorgonzola. So I made it. Well Kroger's didn't have gorgonzola today but they had smoked blue crumbles. Sold. Was it good. Yes. Are hot grapes weird? a little. Also they stay hot and juicy so proceed with caution. I am a sucker for blue cheese/fruits flat breads. I would make again.

I'm quite excited (and hoping to not get spoiled badly) for the second season of Hazbin Hotel dropping on Prime tomorrow. It's been a few years since I've had an active fandom (The Owl House being the last one) and now I have three (this, helluva boss and the amazing digital circus) It's funny how nervous I am about it (though what I've seen is cool) I have seen shows absolutely crash and burn in S2 (looking at you Heroes)

Today for its creator's birthday (I am oddly annoyed Viv's only 33) they dropped Alastor singing a recap of S1 from his pov complete with old timey music and it was a lot of fun

In full disclosure I saw I didn't have an X or a Z and knew I wasn't posting this until my usual fannish tuesday post so I wrote a little something over the weekend for the two fools in my icon. So yeah I cheated a bit

But, yes, I've got that scare with my grandmother. She's worried about adding my father's name to the title of her house because she's 82. *shudders*

I saw Hazbin Hotel on Prime yesterday and was tempted to watch it, but my grandmother came over and that was the end of that. I'm frustrated that I have to order HBOMax in order to watch Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake even on Amazon. I mean, yes, I bought the other miniseries, all of them, but two seasons of a show in one go is expensive.

I did get the Audible version of the show Boots I told you about, though. It's called Pink Marine. I can't wait to listen to it, but I'm still caught up in the Inheritance Games world and waiting for the new Kindle to drop on the fourth. I can't remember if I bought the Audible version. I bought the full-cast version of Philosopher's Stone with Hugh Laurie as Dumbledore last month. How could I not?

EDIT: I did order the Audible version. Wheee!

yeah having that issue with an aunt (by marriage) whose kids are out to take everything that's hers and should be mine but PA is a weird state.

I couldn't get into Prime tonight. Unamused. I don't know that HBO show

hope you enjoy the memoir. I don't do audibles either, mostly because I don't have a job where I can sit and listen and my drive is short and home if I'm on the computer I'm working

It's an Adventure Time spin-off. I'm watching Adventure Time today to remind myself that things can always be worse. Of course, I could bust out my ANGEL S4 DVDs and learn the same thing. Cartoons are more fun, though.
