Good Friday
Apr. 7th, 2023 11:09 pmI'll be honest, I haven't been to a good Friday mass since my confirmation (and even that wasn't my idea).
Instead I went to Jackson to write a little, exercise a little and deal with April birthday gifts. I'm beginning to think if it's not online it's not going. I don't even GET USPS pricing any more. It used to be ground vs priority were different by many dollars. Now it was literally ten cents. Who would pick the slow service that would take days to deliver without insurance to save a dime?
I sadly tired out before I could get to exercising. Haven't had much of an appetite either so not surprising really since it's only been a week since I got sick.
Tomorrow is the very last story for The Owl House I'm still furious Disney canceled it and then went (after seeing the huge love for it at cons) oops we guess it was popular after all. Anyhow, I wanted to put my thoughts about the finale here.
1. I don't think any of the kids will die. (Well technically Hunter sort of did but he got better)
2. It is possible Raine or Eda will. I hope not but if it's the latter, it might make Luz's choice easier but not really. And would probably be a disservice to the story.
3. The Collector (the S3 baddie) reminds me heavily of Star Trek's Charlie X or the Squire of Gothos, a child with god-like powers, but never the less a child, with all the self interest and lack of understanding you'd expect in a child.
4. That Luz won't be the only one who has to choose which world to be in. Vee has already stated that she isn't ready to return home. Hunter finally has a family who cares about him in Camilla and Luz but he is also falling for Willow and has Darius who might take up a father role. On the other hand (and it's my preference) with King, they'd be able to maintain a portal between the realms.

wipbigbang which I have signed up to finish another of my ancient nearly forgotten Buffy stories (more on them tomorrow I think as I won't have much else to talk about in all likelihood)
The other isunconventionalcourtship. I've done this twice. Those were both AUs. Honestly this time I have 2 in mind and actually neither of them would be AU based on the two blurbs I found. But man I will NEVER bash my titles again seeing the ones I found on Mills & Bloom and Harlequin's sites. GAH so bad.
