I apparently can't keep score

cornerofmadnessAs I was off on my word count by over four thousand words 0_o but anyhow
And I have to admit I'm very tempted by the lithograph winner's offer of putting 30K of my novel on an infinity scarf! It's 50$ which is a lot of money for a scarf. I've seen their stuff at Empire Books in Huntington, they make all kind of art out words on a page. I wouldn't put this piece of crap on a scarf but I am giving serious consideration to using a past nano on one. I'm not sure I'd want either Kept Tears or Soldiers of the Sun on it (or any sex scenes gay or straight if you get my meaning). It's a temptation for sure. But so is hanging onto 50$. What do you think? Give it a whirl? Use a YA nano win? Use one of my two published nano novels (I mean I could always edit out the gay sex scenes)? Keep my 50$?
Now I have the unenviable task of turning this pile of scenes into something worth reading but I'm setting it aside for a little while because I want to turn my attention back to Blood Red Roulette. I want to see what I can get done because I'd like to resubmit it before spring break.
Nano Snippet "Smells good. What is it?"
"Soup," Solan clapped her hands, knowing the smell of her favorite soup.
"Maybe I should stay." Colhi smirked at Tenaldi.
"You could but this is laced with poison. Solan and I are working up our tolerances for it, just in case someone like me is out to poison the royals," Tenaldi lied smoothly.
Colhi eyed him like a snake. "Are you crazy?"
"We little guys have to be."
"get in the apartment, Tenny."
Solan gave him a gentle push so not to spill his soup. As she shut Colhi out, he carried the crock to the stove. he sat it down and she hugged him from behind. "So, I assume this means that you believe I'm right and Camristy likes you."
"It could just be that I wanted to do something nice for my friend who has been very tense because of all the crazy crap."
"It could but history is not on your side." She let him go, slapping his back side. "So how did you figure out Cam is attracted to you?"
Tenaldi sighed and tossed himself onto her sofa. He braced himself and said. "He kissed me."
Solan burst out laughing. "Even you couldn't miss that clue. So what did you do?"
"Mostly acted confused." He put his hands over his face.
