This year keeps disappointing
Jan. 4th, 2024 10:22 pmGot the first rejection of the year. That was less disappointing and more like it was expected. I mean, that happens more often than not. I do, however, need to get more stories out there. I made a list for this week.
It was sucky weather this morning so no going in to the museum as planned. Fine. Mom and I took down more decorations.
When it finally got nicer, I went back to the mall area to look for boots/slippers and scrubs. Barely any boots and there was the most adorable slippers but I honestly can't wear anything other than boot type slippers as my feet are very narrow and the backless ones are horrible for my feet so pouts about that. (they had a pair at a price I was unwilling to pay for something that shoddily made)
The scrub pro shop needs to come into the 21st cent. ALL they had around in most things were XS/S. At this point a third of my nursing students are male. Doctors are still predominantly male. Having scrubs that only fit the tiniest of women rather sucks AND the makers of scrubs are making them smaller and smaller so that even my thin students are complaining they suddenly are a 1X to find anything that fits.
So no scrubs.
Oddly both TJ Maxx and Marshalls were EMPTY. I mean it's like they were closing the store sort of empty shelving. I'm assuming it was because they've emptied out Christmas but haven't fully shoved Valentine's Day in, or more likely (since they had V-day shit since Dec 1st) no one decorates that much for V-day and Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas are huge decorating holidays they didn't get in anything else to fill the space. Regardless it was weird.
Thankful Thursday - I went two days of heavy walking with no new bleeding and the external port site is almost totally closed. So I think maybe everything is tentatively healed and hopefully I can get back to riding a bike soon as my legs have gotten so weak I can barely walk stairs.
