I am not kidding
Feb. 24th, 2025 10:35 pmThe trigeminal neuralgia was SO bad last night, if I didn't know what this was I would have driven my butt to the ER last night. This hurt more than when I broke all three bones in my leg. If I didn't know this wasn't a stroke, I'd have thought it was. My head was exploding. My teeth aching. The nerve was SO inflamed my gums and lips were numb on the length.
For those who don't know the trigeminal nerve gives innervation to your forehead, eyelids, your maxilla, your mandible, palate and all your teeth and down into the neck. All of this was on literal fire.
I realized I don't know WHO treats this. I've been having mild issues with this for years, nothing like this. Since Christmas this was my third flare, and the worst. I always assumed it was a result of my TMJ and the arthritis in the joint and it could be. But more likely it is a vascular issue in the brain stem or around the nerve route. Now it could be a vasospasm but could be something worse. Well fuck. I did my research and I need a neurologist. I have one of those. I made a call but they didn't even call me back yet. I won't get in before spring break I'm sure
Also I got a call today at 11. Can you be at the hospital in a half hour? We had a cancellation for the thyroid ultrasound. No? It'll be April....I'll be right there. I went flying out the door. I'm worried about this because when she was pushing on my neck on the left (same side of the neuralgia) I could feel something cutting my air but I didn't on the right. No report in my portal yet.
And since I went flying out the door I forgot my flashdrive which had my exam for tomorrow on it and my notes. No problem I have my notes on my computer on my one drive where it's meant to be. ...only it won't pull down in the classroom nor up on my email to email it to myself. no had to hunt down another flash drive for this. Screams.
In better news my parents are getting better and Mom came back from the podiatrist and her toe ulcer is healed so thanks for all the good thoughts.
Music Monday. I'm continuing with the animal titles and since I can only think of one or two each with these I'm doing a little Wizard of Oz here, lions tigers and bears, oh my!
( follow the yellow brick road )
