Do you hear me screaming?
Oct. 21st, 2025 10:18 pmEverything was on fire today. I was glad to get to lab. At least that didn't explode.
Books for next semester are due. Barnes & Nobles (our online book seller) doesn't think I exist. I go to fill in our book store's excel spread sheet (as I'm not alone in being erased) and our book store has sent it for THIS semester, not next. ARGH
I get a message from the chair 'there's problems with the schedule' yep there was. At least that's an easy fix but that's still a chunk of my day gone.
The greenhouse watering system is off so not only were the plants I dragged off the porch yesterday sad and stressed so were my greenhouse plants. My office is now a nursery for plants on the edge. Crosses fingers.
At least I got everything graded at long last. Midterms are due in tomorrow. Wanna see the line out my door of people panicking over the zeroes I put in for the stuff they didn't do. Oh wait? that matters?

I am gonna ask a question in a sec but again fans do better! One creator let it slip that there is a ship they don't like (didn't say which one) and now a hunk of fans are yelling at them, calling them immature and mentally ill for even mentioning it. Good lord, fans, cool the fuck down (though at this point creators are probably going to want to keep their mouths shut about ships, fans are so toxic)
So my question, I'm thinking of doing a panel at the con next year and one thing I've noticed that as per usual there is an overemphasis on male characters. I was thinking of doing one on the strong women in animation. I could fill a quarter of that hour on Fullmetal Alchemist alone.
So the question is who would YOU add? I'm thinking any time period. I was not into Sailor Moon but sure probably deserves to be there. I see lists online and a lot of them I don't necessarily agree with, like Mikasa Ackerman from AoT who fizzled out along with Rukia from Bleach.
My only caveat is I wouldn't be including the ridiculously fan service ones like Shura from Blue Exorcist and if I could I'd be willing to put in non-anime, say the ladies of the Owl House. And it doesn't have to be physical strength I'm after. I'm thinking more the independent woman types.
