I wasn't able to go but Mom drove a point home today. The Italian side of Dad's family NEVER talks to one another. I hardly knew this aunt. She came up a couple times a year every year (her husband and his brother were my grandmother's brothers) when I was young but once Grandma died I never saw her again. She's the one I mentioned the other day who had an illegitimate child we didn't know about and were told the family only knew a few years ago.

That wasn't true. Apparently some knew 30 years ago when she and her husband went looking for the girl to adopt her back if she hadn't been taken in by anyone (she had). And then the cousins who are Dad's age mentioned their son died, suicide, EIGHT years ago. No one told us. We had no idea.

Given how close the rest of the family is this is just odd to me.

Though the other side of the family has that born again uber right winger husband to one of my cousins who's all snarky because I posted Pope Francis's statements about how you can not be a good Christian and support most of Trump's crap.

And my landlord in theory fixed the leak but now wants in to pain the bathroom. I'm not sure WHY but I'll keep putting him off until I feel like it (i.e. I have all my windows plastic covered for the winter so I'll revisit this in Spring.)

The potential new renter with whom I'll share a wall arrives as I go out to lug the Christmas crap to storage (FINALLY) and he parks his truck across 2 and 1/2 spaces including the handicapped one. Please tell me he has others on his waiting list than this numbnut.

Poke me tomorrow night to remind me to call the doc on Monday because this hernia is getting too painful.
