Another interview down

I made it through the interview with Athens WV. I think I did okay. I was buoyed by the fact there were two other lady scientists there (and if you think that's normal, let me just say, no.). I'll only be teaching Anatomy & Phys and probably histology (oh dear) and developmental biology (everyone's most hated course because it's HARD) and I'll automatically be on overload and I might have to help students with research (I suggested conservation rather than anatomy since human studies are nightmarish to get approval for and the school's too small for that. AND this allows team teaching with the ecologist, which is a cool buzzword for me to work in).

And the school has my sorority on campus plus theatre, jazz band, an anime society and a wiccan society. Oh....this could be fun. Yes I have a job but if this is a better one. Not to mention it's in the hills of WV which is beautiful country if not for the West Virgians (I joke, half my family lives in WV)

I got the second chapter done of my threesome story. About damn time. I've got a have dozen half packed boxes everywhere. Packing sucks. Time to through out more clothes. I'm tired of packing them. They're ancient. St. Vincent de Paul's here I come.

It's just my silly assumption that porn doesn't have a plot, therefore the story shouldn't take any longer than it takes to describe the actual sex part.

Now does Spike not even enter into the sex until after he gets to parts East?

It has a plot. it's got too much plot, damn it. ANd yeah unless he's stroking off in front of teh computer (and I wouldn't put it past Spike) he's out of the sex at the moment. He's in LA. Connor/Faith are in Cleveland.

Don't even get me started. THIS is exactly what I'm faced with. my threesome will be 100 pages long 80 of them plot and Connor STILL won't let Spike kiss him because yeah, I just don't see that happening in a way that doesn't end with Spike in an ashtray or Connor dead (depending on how the battle goes)

I think i'll just go with a guy at either end and Faith enjoying being the meat in the sandwich. That way any touching the men do is coincidental and all part of the fun without Connor screaming a vampire's touching him and Spike screaming he's not a Nancy boy like Peaches.

Yeah, and it's kind of lame. But I'm scraping the bottom of the idea barrel here.

One reason I'd never sign up for fic challenges. I can handle something like "write an episode of The Destroyer where Connor goes to the desert". But having someone ask me to write a porn pairing/threesome of characters I can't see together (or worse, characters I have no desire to write about)--that would give me instant writer's block.

And it's happened to me a lot. That's why I sign up now for things where a) I'm using hte challenge to write for ME or b) a ship-specific ficathon.

That said I can easily put Spike/Faith/Connor into bed so long as the boys are both on Faith. We want them fooling around with each other and it just ain't going to happen (so I'm hoping the requestor won't be too put out about it)

Well, what was the wording of their request, exactly?? If they were vague and just said "threesome", then their complaints will be short 'cause ain't no legs to stand on.

snort, I don't doubt you could. It's not so hard. It's finding TIME because it wants to be War and Peace plot wise and I'm trying to herd them into bed and say just screw and forget the plot.

I'm with you, though, I doubt I *could* write porn fic that's plotless. I'd get bored. Maybe if it was porn with original characters I made up just for that story, but I couldn't write plotless porn of Buffyverse characters. I'd want to get under their skins a little, explore motives, have some background.

I tried writing Eliza/Julie (B) RPS once. It was for crack trailer and even with a tiny smidge of a plot, I just got so bored of it and never finished.
