I don't always have to work

Mom doesn't believe this. Any moment, every moment I'm in this house she thinks I should be cleaning. But I was tired so I took the day off today. Will I regret it? Yes, but I needed to just take a little time off. I'll work on cleaning tomorrow.

I'm struggling to capture the holiday spirit. I swear I was more into it in Sept than I am now. All I can see is politics, having to come back a week earlier than normal, and arguments. I haven't written a single card or wrapped gift one.

I managed to scrounge up some Christmas spirit when we were decorating the tree last weekend, but other than that, meh. Maybe next year.
