Kanda's very big adventure

So I'm up and ready by 730 to go to work (which starts at 1) because the plumbers are going to be here at 8. So at 8 I go outside and I see them and say hey do my place first (as I don't want to have to do this again tomorrow). Turns out they're the dry wallers and can't do their thing until the plumbers are done.

The plumbers are two hours late. Sigh. I spoke to them and offered my help etc. They had a huge snag, it's flooded under my place and they needed a sump pump to get under there and work. Asked them to mind the cat and to let me know what time they'll be back tomorrow because it's a huge project, explaining I work afternoons/evenings and getting up at dawn sucked. Then after an hour of watching them work I decide wow, I can't just leave Kanda here because they cut a HUGE hole in the bedroom wall. So I told them they didn't have to worry about the cat because I was taking him.

Kanda got to visit with faculty and students and everyone loved him. No students were allergic so he got to wander the classroom and suck up all the pets he wanted. He lounged on the podium like lord of the manor. He walked the halls on his leash. He got free rein in the computer room and tried to hide from me under the computer desks. He never slept one wink (nor peed anywhere)

I got home in time to see the plumbers still working. They said they got everything done inside and would have to wait until tomorrow to turn the water back on and see if it leaks. I have no water (went to Jackson for dinner and OMG New Holland's Dragon Milk imperial stout is delicious) hopefully that'll be fixed soon and the drywalling gets done.

I decided to look thru two of the containers from the closet, figuring they were old books. One was not so old books (Ones I thought were still on the shelf, surprise) and the other was full of misc. crap. Who knew I had the FMA tarot cards? not me.

Kanda is sleeping right here on the couch. after being up ALL day he's sleeping hard and snoring.

What a totally awesome pretty one, and so very lordly! *g* How good of him to accept going on an adventure and being so gracious about it. I would have so loved to get a furry visitor of any kind during any of my classes, too, although a cat is always the best, of course. *g*
