I really should know better

I went to Lilyfest today. I should have stayed home and cleaned. Don't get me wrong, I had fun. But even though it's only 35 miles from here it takes about an hour and a half to get there because it's very remote. And it was HOT. No, I mean hot. (I was thinking maybe too hot even for ozma914 who likes it warm and happy birthday to him!).

It was mid-90s. Now I've been to many an outdoor festival in Florida and I know how it ends: me curled up with a headache, weak as a kitten and nauseous to the point of vomiting. I barely made it an hour this time.

It was enough time to end up buying two lilies (one for me one for mom called Little Judy (Her name is Judy) and a black hollyhock. Also got yet another air plant I'll kill. I got mom a glass photo holder because she loves glass and that was different. And something for evil_little_dog which I'll probably break mailing it to her for the Holidays (I'm done shopping for her, just reminding myself of that). I also got some yummy truffles and candied orange rind wrapped in chocolate from Wren Valley Truffles Their stuff is superb.

I stumbled from there to Krogers to get some stuff for the rest of the week, came home laid on the couch for a couple hours to recover.

Was watching a true-haunting show on the couch with Kanda. Something fell in the kitchen. He jumped a mile.

I'm sorry it was too hot out for you to enjoy the fest. I'm glad you were able to pick up some neat things though. I love that you got your mom a plant named after her. *g*

It was miserable outside.

I got her one last year, Judith (which is her actual name) but it died.....
