Change of plans

I decided to keep that bedspread. Mom said 'You've always wanted it. At least take it out of the bag before you say no.' So we put it over her bed. It's beautiful. There's so much to see in it. It's heavier than hell and very well made so I decided I'm keeping it. It's not as rough as I first thought. On the other hand it's awful short for a bedspread.

Today mom and I stopped at the new coffee shop two towns over and it was good. It wasn't great and I think she did the math wrong. I should have argued (16$ for two frappes and an eclair?) but it's a one woman show so whatever. Then again I'm in no hurry to go back.


I finished the steampunk story.. Now to edit it. OMG so close on time.

Work is driving me nuts. One of the most incompetent of people just got promoted to chief operating officer. I'm SO tired of people failing upward at this place. Meanwhile my promotion is in limbo.

It's contributing to my depression. I don't want to go back there. Not sure what I do want but not that but it is what it is.

I'm glad you like the bedspread after all! I've noticed that bedspreads are getting smaller, especially if you have a king-size bed because they make a Queen-King size comforter which barely goes over the sides of the king mattress. I wonder if they're just making them to cover the mattress these days rather than to actually cover your butt when you're under it.

That does sound off. McDonalds large mocha frappe is under $4, so two plus an eclair shouldn't have been more then $10, depending on the cost of the eclair.

I know right? A bedspread should go to the bottom of the bed without the need of a dust ruffle (and comforters don't which is why I have a ruffle now). SIgh

It's very off. I should have been paying attention. It's too damn hot to think!
