Frontier is one of the worst internet companies. I knew that going in. The only thing better about them over the other losers I had was it’s a big company and the internet is fast. So naturally my internet is NOT fixed. I call them up and they claim it was fixed on the outside and that the tech tried to get in the house, but I wasn’t home, and he called me.

I went off the deep end. One, no one called me on my cell. You couldn’t possibly call me on the land line as it’s connected to this DSL line (yes, I have one, where I live it’s more reliable and I have a pay as you go smart phone for my limited cell phone needs). Two, they told me I didn’t HAVE to be here. I asked.

Andrew the tech I have no tells me and I quote ‘I don’t know why they lied to you like that. You must be there for a call like this. I explained that a) I asked this b) this is now interfering with me doing my job and c) what now.

Well the ticket is closed.

So fucking what? It’s NOT fixed. You need to fix it. This time they give me an actual time instead of sometime between Sunday-Thursday by midnight. (also, he tells me the techs don’t work after 5) so now I have to take off my lab to get this done unless I want to wait two more weeks. I ask so what if he doesn’t show (they don’t know) because I’m sure they did NOT come out here.

I’m about frothing at this point. I do not want to be waiting here from 8-noon next Thursday. I tell him that I teach online and next week is the first week of class and if I had to be here I could have done it any time THIS week if they hadn’t been assholes and tell me they didn’t need inside.

I don’t know why they told you that.

Well they did. Do you SEE a fucking appointment time to be at my place? No, you don’t. Because they didn’t MAKE an appointment. I do not want to pay for this month since my internet is already been out for two weeks.

He finally says well the tech said he was there and moved the wires and they checked out. Believe me dimwit, I wouldn’t be waiting a half hour on my pay by the minute phone (You guys buying me a new card for this thing?) if I had phone and internet.

He finally says a manager will call me tomorrow (If they don’t by noon tomorrow, they’re getting another call). I go outside and see that the wires are not moved nor is there ANY sign anyone was ever there (because the neighbor’s dog shit is still right where the tech would have to be so don’t tell me you where there). I’m furious with myself for NOT having taken photos beforehand to prove my point.

And this tech was all ‘it’s probably in your wall’ and you’ll have to pay for it. I highly doubt it is but I bet I’ll be paying several hundred in repairs anyhow.

Oh my god! I would want to strangle someone after that phone call! I really hate having to deal with people like that, and when techs lie about having been to your house at all. So frustrating. I hope someone actually shows up this time to fix it.
