Did a little After Christmas shopping
Dec. 28th, 2018 08:18 pmDidn't find any cards (maybe tomorrow) but I hit the motherload at Macy's. Found a pair of black dress pants for 11$. I don't care if they only last a year (which given how cheap they are) it's worth it. I found a pair of flowing blue dress slacks WITH pockets (OMG!) that were one of a kind in there so I'm glad I found them. Got two nice dress shirts and a fleece lined hoodie sweatshirt.
I took back the Clarks I bought online at Famous footwear (too wide) and found a pair in the store (still too wide but at least wearable without blistering) so I am set for next semester.
Even found some crap for my friend's kid at Five Below. We'll be getting together tomorrow at Chucky Cheese. Man I haven't been in one of those in a decade or more!
I did get part of my story up at 12 days of ficmas on LJ and also on lj, ljbingo has the new reading challenge up. Can't wait to start that and the popsugar reading challenge (let me know if you're interested in either).

Last question of the meme - You'e applying for the fanfic writer of the year award. What five fanfics do you put in your portfolio?
This is a tough one. Granted some times you have to pick between your babie and this is it. A couple were easy enough
1 Hyperion's Son It's a Buffyverse novel that is finally complete and I am very proud of it!
2 Tearing Away the Veil Also Buffy verse, this one features something pretty horrific and right after it was first published, I saw two cases like it on the news.
3 When Sorrows Come Honestly any of the Sorrows would work here. This is not the second but the third. The second is NOT on AO3 for some reason
4 The Elagabalus’s Wine I never wrote much Vassalord but this is literally one of the most liked stories I have on AO3 so I must have done something right.
5 Wishes on Her Eyes Another Buffyverse, one of my Spike/Dru historicals that I loved writing.
Also I have WAY more Buffy fic on Ao3 than I realized. Wow. Now I feel so ignored.
