Me vs the buffet

I went to the casino with mom and a cousin to the brunch buffet. I've never been to the brunch one and it's me facing my weirdness. I rarely eat a lot at one setting. No, I seriously under eat. However, if I'm paying 20$ for a buffet my brain says 'must eat 20$ worth of food and maybe more'. (even though technically it was free today).

So I ate blintzes like a lot of them, my body weight in bacon, eggs benedict, the create your own omelet bar offering, a waffle (well a piece of it because that was the one bad thing) and hit the create your own crepe bar (nutella raspberry but only because they were out of sweet cream, trying not to eat nutella with the whole palm oil thing).

I didn't do well in the casino but had fun. However, I was all excited that they've put in a faux Japanese street food vendor that's sadly only open from 6pm-4Am and I had already eaten (and left before 6) next time noodle bowl and bubble tea, next time.

I did end up joining getyourwordsout for a days/writing pledge because I didn't like how they wrote up the under 150K a year word count one (made it sound like something was wrong with you.I know that wasn't the intent but it really rubbed me the wrong way. Ugh, I hate when I get over sensitive). I used to do this and I always commented with progress. Not sure how I got off the list but that's fine too.

Other things you might like that I'm doing (or plan to do) is fandomtrumpshate which is a fandom charity drive. I missed doing those when everything moved to tumblr so I'm glad some friends posted about this one.

I don't think you're oversensitive! It bothered me too. I pledged for 75K anyway, but it felt like I should have a doctor's note to do it. :(

Oh good, so I'm NOT the only one who felt that way. I decided to just do it as days written and that was literally the reason why. Sorry but since I DO work with publishing houses I spend a lot of weeks doing nothing but editing. I can't always promise to get 150K. I can however promise to write a little most days of the year.
