Here's hoping that 2019 is a far sight better than 2018.

I was shocked and saddened to sunnydalescribe was deleted off LJ. I was enjoying that. Wonders if there are any semi-active Buffyverse/angeverse (non shippy site) active here on DW.

One final recommendation for things to do in 2019. I love this challenge.

And every year I do a 'good things' jar where I write down good things that happened and look at the end of the year to show good things DO happen (no matter what my brain might tell me sometimes). Here they are in no particular order.

1. I got promoted to full professor
2. My first set of global editing notes for Blood Red Roulette were touching and on point.
3. I didn't get depressed over the long weekend
4. I have beautiful sunflowers.
5. I got Goyjo, my Honda Cr-V
6. The anthology Once Upon a Time in the Weird West which has my story Corpse Powder in it won second place in the M/M Romance awards
7. I won the Ernie Wyant Outstanding Teacher of the year award
8. I toured the Canadian Maritimes which was a bucket list trip
9. My cover for Blood Red Roulette is absolutely gorgeous
10 Dreaming Robot Press bought my story Dark Skies over Deadwood the first published under my real name and they paid me SO much for it.
11. At the Cincinnati steampunk fest Leanne Renee Hieber asked me to network with her and be on the author panel at the next fest
12. I made out like a bandit at the Ohioana book festival
13. Dreamspinner Press bought my holiday story Purrfect Holiday
14. Dreamspinner Publications bought Blood Red Roulette
15. Ninestar Press bought my SF novella Modified and Sacred
16. I didn't lose my temper when my promotion letter got lost
17. Someone loved Luc!
18. Blood Red Roulette got some good reviews and people want sequels
19. Purrfect Holiday got some good reviews
20. the bay of fundy is beautiful
21. I walked the grounds and explored inside Anne of Green Gables home
22. I went on my first sailboat
23. I won nano
24. My HGA1C is finally under 8

ETA 25. Leanna just DMed me out of the blue to start planning my being included in the author panel!!! Crosses fingers I can get something going here.

I only know of seasonal Buffy comms on DW - summer_of_giles, buffyversetop5, and my shippy one. But there's some general fandom activity on fictional-fans.

Thanks. OMG I just saw that I haven't gotten any DW comments for over a week and just saw this.

I have no idea. I went to put up an old fic and it was gone. I suspect because it was so small she gave up on it but it makes me sad.

Yeah I used to do Summer of Giles but haven't in the last several years (I don't do as much fanfic now that I have my own writing to concentrate on). I've never been particularly shippy in many ways sadly.
