Braced for the cold

And as cold as it will be tomorrow it's still balmy compared to where I lived in Wisconsin. As of now I still have school. Wouldn't mind the day off though.

And I could use YOUR help! My sabbatical is going to be researching women's contributions to medicine and physiology so if you know of any early pioneers in medicine (all female schools etc) pass those names along to me. There's probably a lot of women out there that could be easily overlooked. (Does not have to be only American). What will you receive for your help? Sadly only a thank you in my paper and research presentation. But thanks in advance.


I'm still getting a few people signing into the meme which I'll probably leave run for another week until I get my chocolate box story done.

But if you want to help erase the hate and damage Trump and his alt right crew have done, there's still time to sign up for fandomtrumpshate and/or bid on people once the time comes! I'm really excited. I haven't done something like this in years. Like I said, it's fun seeing the uptick in fandom on DW.


I have a couple more sound tracks (oddly none for my published novel Kept Tears) but they're for my WIPs. Here's the one from this past year's Nano. Xenolith is a fantasy but it is also a mystery. Hopefully I can get a few chapters into order to see if I can get some readers for it (and to find people to help hold my feet to the fire so it's not yet ANOTHER unfinished nano). It had a strange (as per usual) soundtrack that you can find here

Ahahahahaha, I'm a bad bad person. that said I'm not doing this either but will be curious to see what comes out of it. When it comes to dark femslash I don't have too many in my fandoms that I could see doing this, vamp!Willow and maybe Faith

Would women doing public health in Alabama be of use to you? I have some great aunts who did that. (Their big crusade was indoor plumbing / getting rid of outhouses.) The cousin who has the extant papers is currently doing chemo for cancer, but I can get names from my dad and scans of papers later.

Edit to clarify that this was state level work. One of the aunts was married to the ... I want to say Public Health Commissioner but I could be wrong and took over the position when he died. And did a good enough job to keep it for a while. Some of the aunts had degrees and at least one had a doctorate but I can't remember in what or from where off the top of my head.
