For some reason they didn't cancel school last night but since I had insomnia I was up early and logged on to see that it was canceled today (they've already canceled it for tomorrow). I spent the day working on my writers group stuff, my stories (not the ones I SHOULD be working on) and finished the test for tomorrow because you know if I DIDN'T finish it we would have had class. Ah well, the test will be Tuesday.

I did finally post another chapter of The Key to Destruction the Connor/Dawn story I started for fandom_stocking. This thing will not end but at least now I know HOW it ends.

I haven't worked yet on the chocolate box story. Maybe tomorrow.

Also I was trying to find on the Buffyworld transcripts something that I was like 90% sure happened but can't find. Didn't Angel call for help with the final WR&H inspired apocalypse and Giles turned him down? Did I imagine this?

Another soundtrack. This is one for Behind Blue Eyes which I had a ton written for before realizing it would be a three book series of LGBT SF which i'm not sure anyone would publish (though I could self publish, yes I know) but I sort of choked because I needed to really determine how to get it into three 'finished' books (because I hate series where the first book doesn't really end but rather just stops. Kaleo has been raised in a prison slum, born there and when offered a few years of indentured servitude in exchange for freedom he took it only to learn it was a lie. He was bio-hacked into a sex slave and sold to Aneirin who was given this Toy as a birthday present that he absolutely didn't want. It will eventually bring the system down but man it's SO long. I need to finish this. Oh to hit the lottery and do nothing but write. You can find the soundtrack here


ETA - I just realized that in spite of me saying I WOULD post my fan fic here too I haven't. Because obviously I want to lose my stuff again like I did 15 years ago. Sigh. granted FFN and A03 are likely to be around for a while but why chance it. I'll try to keep it to one per day.

I'm cozy thanks. Yeah I wanted to get that chapter (ha, it's like 6K long) out there. Tomorrow i'll look at your edits and decide what the hell to do with that story

Today I posted my chocolateboxcomm and finished chapter two of Al in Xing. I'll revise that tomorrow before sending it off to beta for the weekend. Then I have to keep working on the fandom_stocking chapter fic next week...

I've only been back a short time, but thankfully my old betas all have been available so far. Fanfic is super serious stuffs. xD

I hope to finish mine around that mark. First chapter was 5.5k and second looks to be the same or longer so far. I just now posted my final fandom_stocking repost. I like to back up everything I post on AO3 here and LJ, but I also didn't want to dump a million fics that weekend. So now I just need to keep writing these two chapter fics and wait for chocolateboxcomm to post.

BTW yours hopefully will wrap up smoothly. *fingers crossed*

Yeah I just noticed the other week that LJ purged one of my old challenge comms: fma_review, so shit gets lost sometimes. I figure if it's on three sites I have a decent chance of saving a copy. I never seem to be able to hang onto computers for very long (a series of unfortunate events that have led to many different machines over the years).

You and me both re:computers. I'm seriously going to buy an old floppy reader since I still have them all and the few stories I have from them can't be ALL there was (because back when I saved them Word couldn't open Word Perfect) so maybe I can find them. Sorry to hear that community was purged so yeah having them in many places would help

Got this idea off a related thread about the S5 episode "Damage" and got me thinking about "Hole in the World" when Giles refuses to help Angel and Fred when Fred is dying from the Illyria infection.

Now, I know that from S6 onwards Giles changes so much as a character that he's almost not the same person. But this was just asinine. I mean, I know he hates Angel, or what Angel's body did as Angelus, but to essentially let Fred die because he disagrees with what Angel is doing at Wolfram & Hart is pretty unbelievable. I'm not saying that the Scoobies could have saved her, but Willow is shown to be so powerful by that point that she can pretty much alter the fabric of reality. They make it very clear that Buffy and Willow don't know about the trouble Angel is in, but I can't help thinking that Angel should have been mighty pissed off with Giles.

It'd be an interesting comic issue to explore that a bit. The time between Fred dying and "Not Fade Away", where Angel confronts Giles about it.

Man, thinking about it, Angel got treated like crap in S5.
