Not a good day

spikesgirl58 nominated me to post covers of seven books I love - one cover a day for a week. There is to be no explanations or reviews, just covers. Each time I post I will ask someone else to take up the challenge. Obviously it goes without saying that if I tag you and you don't want to it, you don't have to do it. Please do not feel obligated to join in.

Day Five
I wanted to get out of here so I could get out of my head a little because the depression is creeping in but the words 'drenching rains' and 'flooding all over' were tossed about. So I decided to clean but all I ended up doing was looking at the blog archive again for hours and learned a few things

1, IF the story was on Fanfiction as well as Forever Fandom (which was apparently my big site in 2004) then the Wayback machine can find the Forever Fandom version too BUT if the story was only on Forever Fandom, the Wayback Machine didn't archive it. LIke every time. WTF

2. I'm missing even MORE of my stories. I'm going to have to eventually round up all the titles and what I can remember of them and actually make one last plea to try and find them. I mean one I want to find that I saw today was one where Dru turns Connor and he turns Faith....I don't even remember writing that


About the only thing I accomplished today was to get Kanda set up for his vaccinations on monday and got my hotel room and my tickets to the Steampunk Symposium.


A friend told me Vincent Kartheiser was on that new show Proven Innocent and since I like him (but not usually his choices in roles) and I like Kelsey Grammar I thought I okay I'll try it since the pilot reran tonight,

1. Wow, it's been a while since I've hated a main character this much. She comes across as both flat, self-important and so self righteous. It's hard to feel for her when her boss/partner/whatever he was (did he even have name?) is right, she's gambling other people's futures on her vendetta

2. Case in point, she doesn't care that she's throwing her brother under the bus and her only reaction to his back sliding on his drug addict as a direct result of her actions was to blame him for potentially screwing up her case

3. the brother added nothing but melodrama. And seriously it's been seven years since they were wrongly convicted which I'm assuming he was high for most of it and is just now sober but who is going to hire a potential murderer recovering addict to coach school soccer (and also was that the only school NOT to CCTV to catch the dude attacking the brother with a bat?) Every part of his storyline bored me.

4. I'm assuming who really killed the girl main character and her brother were accused of killing will finally be discovered down the road.

5. Kartheiser's character is an investigator which we don't learn until more than half way through (because I'm fairly sure we never get his name which is Bodie QUick which I only know because I googled it and took an instant dislike to the name) His character is all over the place, sort of sarcastic, sort of golden retriever level enthusiasm and I'm not so sure he's that bright. About the only exciting thing in the whole show was watching him get clobbered in the face with a bottle.

I'm not sure I can sit through another hour of this

15 is horrified that 1 and 7 are now in jail. How is 15 breaking them out? Drusilla couldn't care less that Buffy is in jail. On the other hand, she would want to help 'little brother'. Granted Buffy and Connor probably don't need much help escaping but Drusilla would just kill everyone inside to help get them out.


13 turns out to be a god. Would 2 or 5 be a better devotee? Bwahhahahha I think this needs a ficlet later.


10, 7, and 11 are in a bar fight. Are they fighting together? Are they fighting each other? ...who survives at the end of the night? Spike, Connor and Willow are in a bar fight? Dies. Another one that probably needs to be ficced (bats eyes) But yes, they're fighting together. Spike's busy trying to be the boss. Connor's busy rolling his eyes at Spike. Willow's busy ignoring them both and using magic to bring the fight to a hasty end. Also someone is probably going to get slapped in the head with a beer bottle, just saying
