We lucked out
May. 4th, 2019 08:45 pmThey gambled on an outdoors graduation (which is a much nicer event than in our gym). We finished it and it rained no more than 10 minutes after the conclusion of the event.
Swear to god if I get sick because the faculty member who was so OBVIOUSLY ill and spent the entire graduation coughing all over me, I'm going to be very annoyed.
Other than the person who should have stayed home it was nice. I liked our Astronaut speaker. His story was relatable about really doing his due diligence in investigating what it took to be an astronaut and working to make it happen and how it took 4 tries over ten years to make it happen. So I guess his point could be summed up in this Galaxy Quest quote “Never give up. Never surrender!”
Speaking of geeky stuff, my parents called me in the morning to wish me May the Fourth be with you. Geeks.
We all went out to dinner tonight, most of math/science and half the graduates were there too including the soon to be son in law of two of my steampunk friends (it was nice seeing them however briefly). Dinner was not chosen wisely, delicious but oh my sugar is paying for it now. It was nuts at Arch and Eddie's though, they ran out of plates they were so busy and someone should have just said they were out of wine slushies because they handed me a glass of crushed ice water with almost no wine. Unamused (Yes I did complete for all the good it did).

spikesgirl58 The perfect Jell-O salad for all the zodiac signs Mine is particularly barf-a-licious. (It's on FB but it's a public share) Hurl. And yeah it's not all Jell-o but it's all terrifying. OMG 50s and 60s what were you smoking? Was there literally no food?
