Some good news

cornerofmadnessEither I'm shit at recording deadlines and word count limits or people change them. The good news is It's June 30th on the Mischief Christmas deadline NOT June 1st. And the word count limit is 15K as the lowest accepted NOT 21K. That is still a lot but I'm at like almost 12 so it feels MORE doable.
But now I need to find a beta for it. I also need a beta for my BtVS/AtS crossover I'm working on for![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png)
wipbigbang which if the title isn't a dead giveaway, this is going to be a long story. It's already at 25K and it's about half done...(and OMG that means I've written 10K on this in the last month.) My usual beta is having computer issues so...
And since no one stopped me from joiningsummer_of_giles (and aaronlisa encouraged me) I now have a story to write...I still think it would be interesting to see Giles interact with the son of two vampires (especially given his history with Angel). I'm trying to decide if I want to set it within the Hyperion’s Son universe set @ 12 years after the series ending and in that Origin never happened and the spell on Connor leaked leading him to think he's insane, a condition made worse when his family turned their backs on him when he self medicated with heroin. This would be a few months into recovery. Or do I want to set it just after a new story The Key to Destruction where he meets Connor after Angel sent him to investigate a new potential hellmouth in Portland at the same time Dawn was sent there for the same reason and wackiness ensues.

And speaking of Whedon and his search for relevance apparently Boom! is making a Firefly comic
