But I ended up down the rabbit hole. I didn't clean nearly enough (though I did get the photo albums under the bed and discovered a) three printed novel drafts for novels already published so into the recycler it goes b) that I had a cache of christmas cards I didn't know about c) that allegra does shit all for my allergies.

And then scribesds reminded me that today was the anniversary of Buffy's cookie dough speech. While it's probably even more awkward and stupid than Edward Elric's marriage proposal it's still a time for sharing Buffy/Angel related things (You can see her post here )

I really can't do the fanrec Thursday thing that's trending because I don't read that much of it any more but I can at least give you a few links here to some B/A stuff

As for my own B/A stories, most are over on FFN waiting for me to clean them up and move them and that includes one of my favorites (which I'm currently cleaning up for the 1001 time) which is ensemble but the only on-page relationship is B/A.

There are these short ones I wrote for a Christmas gift a few months ago (and in digging around in my old blog posts I learned I was wrong. This past Christmas was NOT the first time I've written Angel/Buffy/Spike, ah my polyamorous heart)

This series has one B/Aish one (story 3#) Perceptions of the Fifth Sun I need to finish this series.

And some cool Buffy news here Now this I want about a thousand times more than a reboot. Will need to go looking for it when it happens

I have mixed feelings about the cookie dough speech. I remember really liking it upon the first viewing of the episode. It made sense and it felt like something Buffy would say.

However the farther away I get from that first viewing and the older I get, the more ridiculous it comes across. I do still think that it's very much in Buffy's voice and it's still believable that she'd say something like that in general to refer to the fact that she's still growing and she's not sure who she is. And I do recognize the fact that the writers were trying to give closure to B/A shippers as well as B/S shippers.

I just think the cookie-dough analogy went a little too far.

I like the idea of Boom doing an one-shot of Slayers throughout the ages, I just hope that it's better than Tales of the Slayers was. (And I say that as someone who liked that collection.)

Oh it's definitely in her voice and something she'd say but it was a bit over done,yes. (and frankly served the purpose of not bringing Buffy onto Angel's show in the last season because there was this sort of closure and if only they had LEFT it that way without that horrible episode with Andrew and Italy).

I never read Tales of the Slayers. I do think it has possibilities though.
