cornerofmadnessI did manage to find one more story (and one of the ones I did find on scribesds's forums was a WIP I had UTTERLY forgot about.) I also don't know how I survived 2005. I'll be honest the entire 21st century so far has been unrelenting pain and disappointment. Going back over my blog looking for lost stories has been painful even when I'm not really reading.
2005 had a frantic job search where no one wanted me (it's how I ended up here), broke my ankle, got lied to and jerked around by my university, by Sears, by Dell computers, by Verizon, by student loans and by the electric company and my bank (where they lost 5000$ of my money, some of which was recovered, some had actually been spent). My loans sent cops with a warrant after me. My psychiatrist tried to committee me. And this is all before Halloween.
But you say this is still depressing. Why yes it is but it'll get better in a moment. I found exactly when my computer died (October 1st) AND how the disc I burned (which is what you did in those days) came up corrupted. That's how I lost SO MUCH story wise (not to mention all my lectures) and right after that Forever Fandom died, taking all those stories with it. Sigh. The truly ironic thing is I've been trying ever Forever Fandom link at the Wayback Machine (that's how I found that one) but the irony is if I still have a story I can find the FF link at Wayback but if I DON'T have the story that one isn't at Wayback because of course not.
So when am I getting to the good stuff? Right now.
I have a few fan recs for Thursday. Two are Seasonal Spuffy stories (both of which I helped beta) and one cute Spuffy drabble.
