National Donut Day

cornerofmadnessI got no donuts. Did get pie so there's that.
I came up with two new teaching oriented paper ideas today which made me happy. What made me sad as hell was my brother called me to tell me his alma mater just did exactly what mine did. That's four colleges within in the last two months have gone bankrupt and cut all their STEAM programs. Maybe I should just go teach at a freaking nursing college and be done with it. Maybe I should just give up. I think we're determined to become the stupidest country in the world. Sigh.
But on the good side of life, today was beautiful. It was 72 and lightly breezy and I spent a good amount of time outside, trying (and kinda failing) to write that damn Christmas story.
I got the contract (finally) on the other story.
I'm also laughing because my Dad has ALWAYS mocked me and my brother for watching ghost shows. Guess who's now hooked on Paranormal shows?
