cornerofmadnessI finally finished that stupid Christmas story. I'm glad it's done. I'm sort of half uncertain if I should submit it mostly because I'm STILL waiting nearly two months later to hear about a different story I sent this particular new to me company. But it was written for their open call so I guess I'll whip it their way and hope they're faster about this one.
Of course there's been ZERO editing on this one so now I have to wade through nearly 19K of novella and hope to do it quickly and well because I have no way of getting through this three or four times like I usually like to do when it comes to a story.
In another venue people have been talking kindle unlimited. I had no idea you couldn't even have fanfic under your name. I knew that you couldn't release your book anywhere else (one of the many reason I don't like KU. I loathe that Amazon is such a fucking strangling juggernaught) But the fact they even force you to remove your fanfic seems fairly awful.
Mom, Dad and I played Blackjack on the new casino table half the night. Things I learned, both of them cheat if you're not watching them close.

Date: 2019-06-12 12:49 am (UTC)I hear you on Amazon being so restricting for authors, although in Germany, you can't have any fanfic linked in any way to your name when you intend to get published. Some editors accept if you delete what you have, others refuse to take you if you've ever published something fannish under that name.
