So the news improves

The bone cultures came back negative so the infection hadn't spread into the foot itself and Mom will be home tomorrow barring anything going pear-shaped. Of course we were at the hospital all day again today. Brought the nurses cookies as they have been lovely. Today mom had an adorable ginger nurse. I wanted to take him home.

I did manage to get that Christmas story off. You know, the one I wasn't sure I'd finish but I did. I know for a fact it's not as polished as it needed to be but there were only 6 more days to submit it so there was no time for an outside beta reader. I DO have a solar punk I'd love to submit but it probably needs a) a beta reader b) more added to it to make it worthwhile as a novella. Ah well.
