A break can not be caught

cornerofmadnessI wasted the morning with HP as they tried to fix whatever went wrong in yesterday's system Bios update. They played with firmware, they tried new drivers and finally reset it to factory setting. Nada. In fact it's worse.
So I'm taking it back. Oh HP wants me to mail it to them for repair. I said bite me. It's 2 weeks old. It's going back and you can take it up with Costco. I DO like the Envy otherwise. I'll try another one and if something happens to it then I'll move on.
So that means I had to race all over the place today getting everything done so I can go with Dad tomorrow to Costco (and mom better stay on her butt when we're gone)
The only good thing to happen today was the farmers market where I picked up some amazing strawberries, you know the kind that TASTE like strawberries, not those huge but tasteless things in the supermarket.

wipbigbang is putting out the fourth and last (I think) call for art. Still lots of stories and fandoms to be claimed. Turns out the claim on mine won't be art per se but rather a sound track. That should be interesting.
Also a fic challenge I had forgotten about will be kicking off soonintoabar which should be fun. I know I know I need no more challenges but I can at least boost the signal.
