Ridiculously lazy day

Okay I packed up for tomorrow's trip and I did the laundry but all I did otherwise was write. Ridiculous comment_fic stuff instead of what I'm supposed to be writing. Eye roll. If you want to see the plethora of fic you can find it here

I don't know why I can't focus on Like Stone or my summer_of_giles story (I need fun things to do with Giles as he makes an official study of Connor).

Went for a ride in the miata as they FINALLY opened the new road after two years of work (no lie, four people called within five minutes of it opening and half the town was out there on it. i.e. how to know you live in a small town.)

I did get rejected for the flash fic anthology for the first time. It bugs me a bit, mostly because this year has been SO bad but I figured it would. Too much story in too little time. Also in a way I'm not sorry. It's like the opening of something I'd rather be a long work anyhow.


Wednesday Reading Meme
What I Just Finished Reading: In/Spectre, Vol. 6 (漫画 虚構推理 ) by Kyo Shirodaira which finishes out the adaptation of the original light novel. It started good, got boring. I'm not sure I'm bothering to go on.



What I am Currently Reading: Spellbent by Lucy A. Snyder, another author I met at the Ohioana book festival and another book I want to like. It's interesting enough to keep reading but just barely. The protagonist was associated with a her magical mentor turned lover but all he seemed to have taught her was which public bathroom was clean enough to have sex in.



What I Plan to Read Next: I DNFed Glass Houses by Rachel Caine when in chapter one the protagonist is thrown over the steps and no one questions it or contacts her family (she's a minor) and then she's in trouble for upsetting the queen bee, I was out. I'm starting Zero Sum Game by Cody Martin which I got MONTHS ago for review. So far kinda boring.

And I see LJ is having another meltdown. THough I have to say it's been a long while since it's been this crappy, at least for me.
