So I'm spring cleaning in the almost-fall

cornerofmadnessI'm partly proud of myself of doing it, partly disgusted with myself because of my terrible hoarding tendencies. To be clear it's not garbage and it's not like I have things stacked floor to ceiling but I do have far too much crap in here. Mostly it's books, CDs/DVDs and knick knacks.
Things I don't need for the holidays, any of those things.
I am not sure I can get to Tsubasacon this year which is sad because today I loaded up about three bags of old manga much of it just the first one or two in a series that I didn't like. There is something at Tsu called the traveling manga library and I wanted to donate these. I'm sure I can also mail this stuff but I'd rather not. Ah well.
I bundled up a bunch of knickknacks and they're already in the car to go to Goodwill. I do have more stuff in the back room that needs to go. I also have clothing in the car that I'm hoping to find a different charity to give it to. Honestly I wish the churches around here would take clothing for the homeless/poor because I'd MUCH rather give it to them than Goodwill.
I sorted two big plastic crates of books. SOme of them I have no idea why I picked them up from the library sales but they're going back. I am never going to read a 700 page Nordic noir. I don't even like the genre (as I've learned). Yes some of these I put in the go-away box are classics but I've read them. I'm not going to read them and it's impressing no one. It's too much.
One of them I put in the box is Mists of Avalon. It's partly I am never going to reread this door stop and it's also very much I can't separate the artist from the art. I mean I can look past some things but her enabling and/or participating in her husbands pedophilia, not so much. It's a book that go live somewhere else.
The sad part is, you can't even tell that I removed anything. Sigh.
Other good news, I put up a total of nine chapters of Like Stone. It's getting some hits. It makes me laugh though, that it's listed as Connor/Dawn. Yeah, not so much. It's actually gen fic that does have some relationships in it. (but yes they hook up and literally that's all it is a hook up). I hope that those who are reading it are enjoying it.
