Brain -(almost 2 am), Hey, you know that urban fantasy novel you wanted to write for Nano
Me - yeah? I shelved it. I'm going to do the paranormal mystery
Brain - You could figure out the plot because it's actually book two
Me - 0_0
Brain - Yeah, no one cares if Faolan is a dick to his dad because we don't KNOW his dad yet. You have to do a story first and introduce daddy dearest and let people care about him. THEN Faolan's self destructive dickishness will matter
Me - Go to sleep brain
Brain - And then you can world build, introduce the team and then in book two KILL some of them.
ME_ STOP IT. I want to sleep
Brain -Here, let me tell you about chapter one of book one. It starts in the back bay of Boston
Me - Wails, SLEEP BRAIN SLEEP
Brain - The lead woman gets to Dad's house just as his dominatrix is leaving and she gets to tell him vacation is over because he and the team has to go to Salem.
Me - I'm going to stab you with a Q-Tip if you don't go to sleep.
Brain - And it's a church grim
Me - you're only saying that because of what Betty sent you the other day.
Brain - And it's mad because its church was decommissioned and it's now a brewery
Me - Ooo that's good. Okay you asshole, I'm awake now.
I'm considering being a nano rebel and finishing These Haunted Hill and then start either this story or the paranormal mystery that won't STFU.
