A feeling I'd almost forgotten

But before that HAPPY BIRTHDAY to
kiramaru7 &
honor_reid. I hope you had a good day

So this feeling, the inclusivity and the excitement of a new fandom, no I mean NEW fandom. It's just forming and taking shape. Honestly I've never quite been part of that. I came into Buffy when they started rerunning seasons 1-3 and S4 was the current season.
evil_little_dog got me into it after I had seen about a month of S1 and didn't click (to be fair I was just starting my medical practice and i had no tv watching time and too stressed). So I came into the fandom when it was already roaring but I definitely there for its hey day (and that it's still going 20+ years later is impressive)
Then I got into Fullmetal ALchemist (also because of ELD prodding me after I gave up on it) and that was about 2005 (it started in 2003 I think) I road that pony until it fell (which I will say anime fans just ship FAST) and it's still out there but not that much of it.
In spite of loving Lucifer, I was never really that moved to do fanfic for it. Oh I've done a few fanfics, small ficlets mostly but for whatever reason it never set me on fire. So while I was there in the beginning of the fandom, I was never very active and hell even that was five years ago now.
So getting into Prodigal Son fandom right from the get-go has been a heady experience. Oh it's still just little ficlets and I'm good with that (since hell I'm NOT supposed to be doing fanfic in the first damn place). But I'm reading fanfic like I haven't in years. I'm excited by it all. (Now it's MY turn to poke ELD into watching it and not just watching AT it, POKE POKE). Watch it you know you want to
I'm not sure why I'm this obsessed this fast. Oh sure, Malcolm is a giant woobie and I'm into that. He'll be fun to torture and we ALL know that's my thing. Just look at the woobies I've done bad things to in the past especially in my own fiction. (looking at you Luc and Temple and hey Deveral you have woobie tendencies too)
What I think I'm most shocked about is so far it's mostly non-slash (with Malcolm with Dani or Edrisa) or incest (I've yet to see slash with Gil or JT but I'm sure someone will do it soon, especially with Gil). I'm still no more comfortable with incest than I've been in the past but whatever, I'm content to scroll on past instead of flaming them (do we even still call it that? God I'm getting so old).
Anyhow I've found my new favorite thing and it makes me happy
Making me less happy, the results on the first round of the bone practicum. 35% of the class got 100%, another 40% failed and I mean FAILED to the point I can't even fathom what they're doing here). The rest got in the 80-90% range (I had zero 70-79% scores which I think is a first).
