Never thought I'd be grateful

for losing my sabbatical. I was just thinking about it. Right now I would have had to travel for my research. Maybe I'll get to do it one day, provided my school survives this. It very well could not. MANY universities may fail, like so many other businesses. (but you don't see me saying open it back up and whatever happens happens, side eyes the GOP).

I am however doing my best to insure students will be back. I have to set the timer on my exams at 90 minutes instead of the 75 they'd have in class because of the slow-ass internet. It gives them more than a minute per question. A couple of my better students have already finished two of their three exams. You can't tell me in one week they studied four chapters worth of materials. I know they're cheating. I can't prove it but I know it (granted I've taken online classes I KNOW how easy it is to cheat) Well, there will be a lot of nursing students who'll pass and end up back next year (granted these students would have had As anyhow). This is why I'm not as big of a fan of online education as some.

I'm almost up to Halloween on my show backlog. Yeah that's how far behind I am.

Ooo this is a good one and hard in a way just to pick a few

1. My undergrad college, which was so very haunted that it made news papers. Several buildings were used in the Civil war especially one that was a hospital and morgue where I saw my first (and only) time slip seeing an operating room.

2. A house I shared with a friend which I'm fairly sure was a portal since in addition to the normal house ghosts, others would float through

3. The Tower of London, really that speaks for itself.

The next three (you get a bonus) are ones that are on my bucket list to explore. I was supposed to go to one over spring break but...

4. Waverly TB hospital in KY

5. Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in WV

6. Moundsville Prison in WV (this was the one I was meant to go to)

Yep. My sorority had a room in that dorm which was mostly abandoned (and torn down the next year) we were setting up for a ritual and we knew it was a haunted hall. Three other girls were too afraid to go in the basement to get what we needed because the door had been rattling and knocking.

They knew I was already a paranormal investigator by then so they made me go. I took two with me. When we went down the stairs (into what was the morgue and/or operating room) we saw clear as day a man loping off the leg of a soldier. he looked at us and raised a hand to stop us and then it was gone, nothing but the basement. The other two ran out. I got the table clothes I went down there for in the first place

It takes a lot more to frighten me (that said I wish I had had the sense that people would watch this on tv and done with Ghost Adventures/Ghost Hunters had done)

Just curious: Is the format of the exam decided by your university? Is it possible (for any future exams, if you're still doing online exams) to do an open-book exam instead?

I get to chose and next time I'm choosing lock down browsers but hopefully there won't be a next time. Science sucks online. There is nothing about a virtual lab that prepares you for actually doing it in the real world
