Writerly Ways & Sunshine
Jul. 12th, 2020 07:45 pmI decided to just merge these two post so welcome to both the Sunshine challenge and the weekly writerly ways.

Prompt 3: Yellow
Yellow is a bright color that is associated with a variety of things including: joy, enlightenment, enthusiasm, alertness, danger, clarity, summer, expression, deceit, cowardice, confidence, satisfaction, and optimism.
This is another 'not me' color. I think it's bright and cheery but it also doesn't speak to me. I don't have it around the house. I have exactly one yellow item of clothing. But I do have good memories of yellow. It's the sun of course. It's the color of
evil_little_dog's living room when we lived together in Florida. It's bananas lemons and lemonade and lemon meringue pie. Mmmmm
My eyeglass case is yellow with dogs on it. It's the color of the floatie I drifted about the pool on today. I have so many yellow flowers.
In fandom I think of the color of Edward, Winry and Riza's hair. I think of Ed's gold eyes and Roy's flame have yellow tinges. Oh I think of Data's eyes. I even have the music CD Brent Spinner put out ol' yellow eyes. I loved Data so much (still do really). He is my yellow.
I think of the X-Men's original outfits, so much yellow there. The X-Men are still some of my favorite heroes. And of course I'm from Pittsburgh and Black and Gold are our colors.
Yellow is the color of fall, my favorite season. I love with the leaves go golden.
Daylily and Buddha
St. John's Wort
pale yellow lily
more daylily
Yellow and purple lily
lots of lilies
begonia
Yellow and black petunia things
yellow and fuschia million bells
some yellow daisy things
the sunny heart of a daisy
My only yellow shirt, the one that got sour creamed yesterday
As for the writing, I have learned that I absolutely suck rocks at cover art selection. I forget all my characters faces, how tall they are, do they have tats, is there important things to them, it's all a zero.
But the good news is my novella is out soon. Woot.
And since I'm tired (too much pool and bourbon and wings) let me launch into the links (and for those from Sunshine, I do this every sunday)
