Prompt 4: Green
Green is a rich color that is associated with a variety of things including: awakening, growth, renewal, productivity, intelligence, exuberance, prosperity, money, luck, envy, greed, survival, nature, spring, and birth.
This is a color I do really like. It's a color I look good in. I don't have much green IN my house but outside, oh outside is different. I am all about being in the woods. I love green. I'm not a desert person. I'm not even that much of a beach person. A lake in the woods? I'm there. I grew up a country mouse. Most of my life I've lived in the country. I want that to continue. I always want to have a swath of green around me. That was the best part of Ireland and Wales, how green they were. I transplanted some green today, a few small pines I hope to bonsai.
I love green stone, emeralds, Connamara marble, jade, tourmaline, malachite, the list goes on and on and I own jewelry made of all of them.
Green makes me think of my parents' home when I was a child. The stucco walls were green and silver and the shag carpet was green and gold. The couch was green. Mom had a lime green Bug. My first apartment post med school had sage green cabinets. (ah the 70s, and things stuck in the 70s)
Fandom wise, come on, Spock's blood, first to mind (probably always to mind) sure someone made a boo-boo, copper based blood (like a horseshoe crab) is powder blue but Star Trek made it green. My love for Spock is undying so have some green blood.

Beast Boy of the Teen Titans, the Hulk, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, oh there are so many green guys in fandom. To be honest, none of them are my faves, outside of Beast Boy. I don't know why I liked him so much. He was immature but I did really like him.
And since today was awful and my brain is jello let me just give you lots and lots of my favorite green things.

Date: 2020-07-16 01:38 am (UTC)I'm craving a vacation like crazy now. (I was already feeling burnt-out at work and in need of a vacation before the last few months of extra stir-crazy.) I'd love to just jump in a car and drive off to a cabin in the woods.
