Dental Drama

It took my entire lunch and office hour to get a dental appt. First my dentist had issues with his phone all morning before i left for work and for the first ten minutes of my office hour. I finally get through and for the THIRD time (as this is my third broken tooth since he went out on his own) I'm told it's a 6 week wait.

Excuse me, it's an emergency. I can't wait that long. "I'm sorry but he's booked solid after being off for 2 months". Yeah well you did this the last two times pre-Covid. Are you SURE there is no emergency slots. "No, you have to wait until Nov 20th". "I'm going somewhere else." "I understand"

SO 15 years with this guy and that's how his staff is? Fuck him. I call Aspen dental which is a big chain which is offputting to me. In Chillicothe tomorrow at 8 AM but they were dodgy about my insurance so while i'm talking to them I google dentists in Jackson. I find a young lady doc. Okay then, let me try her.


She is partially in Jackson, partially in CHillicothe and can see me Thursday at 4 pm. Bingo. I'm doing that. Cross your fingers for me.

Cross your fingers I can finish this fucking big bang too.

Wow that's pretty crappy of the dentist office. Is he doing so well that he can turn patients away? Especially emergencies?

Apparently his staff thinks so. He's been tougher to see ever since he got involved in local politics so it might be time to jump ship. Which sucks because I like him.
