A year ago today I had to put Kanda to sleep. It seems impossible that it's been a year. I do wonder without covid would I already have another cat? I honestly don't know. I do miss Kanda though. He was a good boy. I can only hope to have another cat as good as he was.

The only thing I've done today was finish my exam. Literally worked from 11-630. My brain is mush. I wanted to do other things with this day, with this space but not so much so instead let me share my few November reads. Talk to me about the books. I love chatting books

Pumpkinheads YA coming of age, romance, graphic novel

Zombie Tag YA urban fantasy

Black Sun fantasy one of the best reads of the year for me, great rep (bi, enby, PoC)

Off the Rails historical mystery

Hallelujah LGBT horror

Cemetery Boys Another favorite for the year, also good rep with a Latinx trans protagonist written by a Latinx trans author

Oh. I'm sorry you lost your cat a year ago. It is tough being alone without their company. {{{hugs}}}

I still miss beloved companions from three decades ago; let alone the two I had to give up and are still alive in Ayrshire; the third of that trio passed a year ago this past August, since the anniversary of which I have found their absence harder to bear.

Sometimes I will see a cat in a video and just start crying incontrollably.

I will never regret taking them; any of them, into my heart though.
