Actually I had already done this a few days ago (and as one of the mods you'd have thought I was paying more attention....) Anyhow you can find my goals here.

I also finished a goal I didn't write down today. I finished my Welsh research paper's handwritten draft. I'll try to type it in tomorrow and then let it sit for a while because it is VERY rough. Also I had 45 references.... and like a true student, I pulled it together in 3 days only I won't be turning it IN that way. In the process of doing this I typed the phrase ‘Royal Touch’ used to cure the ‘King’s Evil’ a scrofulous disease. in which I misspelled royal, king, evil and disease but nailed scrofulous. Go me.


I have ancillary goals to this. A) prepare an hour's talk from this. B) Expand a couple pieces of this for publication. I think there's plenty enough out there on the Physicians of Myddfai but I would like to write more on the importance of the healing wells, including Llandrindod Spa I was there. I need more on it. Can't find much on it in the scholarly literature and yet it had an interesting history. Might like to write a little on the cunning women as well (talk about something I won't be able to find much of in the scholarly text. I would h ave loved to do water analysis of both Llandrindod and St Winefride's well but I'd have to be working with a uni there (I really wish we'd have improved our relationship with U. of Aberystwyth.)

Congrats on posting your goals so early, and (if I may comment here instead of your challenge 2 post in any case) congrats on finishing a goal - and on spelling scrofulous correctly! ♥

Thanks so much. I'm still laughing over scrofulous. I must have been concentrating hard on that one while not paying attention to anything else
