So I call the doctor today. The receptionist tells me 'i have no access to records so you'll have to leave a message for the nurse.' I'm like NO I've been doing this for two weeks. Find me someone who can access them because you have not returned ONE call from me or my physical therapist.

She listens to me and gets someone who can access the records...only there is no record of any PT orders so I'm like look I just saw him two weeks ago. He wanted me to have PT to max out my home health PT first. My GP had to get involved because my insurance was going to cut it off because there were NO ORDERS.

At the mention of another doctor stepping in I got put back on hold and then there was a medical assistant who tells me, 'we thought you HAD PT so we were confused as to why you were calling about this.'

Um then why the fuck did you NOT call us back and SAY that. You didn't know why we were calling and calling? The professional thing is to return the call and find out. I said look we have no new orders, the last ones were from when I was still in the home. Should we be strengthening my leg? Should I be trying to walk without the walker? What the hell should I be doing for the next month? What are my restrictions?

So now Keisha is going to be looking into it. If Keisha hasn't faxed some orders by wednesday (doc's in surgery today so I know it won't be done today) I'm calling back and really getting crabby.


And oh before I forget again happy belated birthday to spiffikins

My birthday is upcoming and I just got a few Star Trek TNG crosstitch patterns to try. I don't know how to do it per se (I did crewel years ago) so I'll watch a little YouTube to see what I'm doing.

And oh, my school is hosting a staff/faculty art show. I'm putting in three of my necklaces. Here's hoping I have some that don't look like hell

I had that exact conversation about PT with my foot and the office wondering why I kept leaving messages about my insurance cutting me off for not having a doctor's order. :| Which, like, were the messages not clear? I need a renewed PT order they only covered 6 visits, which was not the plan discussed in the office (and so I would assume would not match the notes in my file when I'm leaving multiple messages that they only ordered 6). I hope that you can get things squared away this week, and I'm sorry that you continue to have to advocate so strongly for every tiny detail.

Man I'm sorry you have to deal with this too. I just asked my brother the PT if this shit is common. I can't imagine letting a patient hang like this

On the cross stitch... if you're on Tumblr at all, there's a cute comm called "shitpostsampler" and while they don't have a lot of instructions, they do have their ask box open and they have a lot of irreverent / sarcastic patterns available. Worth looking at.

And don't go nuts and try a billion thread per inch backing... hopefully, you have something that looks more like old pixel computer screen images to start... Start simple and work your way up to something with more details.

thanks for the suggestions. I'll give it a try. My friend sent along a few youtube tutorials. I'm not sure when I'll get to it as I just picked up a potential high intensity open call wiht a super short writing window
